Yahoo is buying Tumblr for $1.1 billion. The board has finally given the green light so this means we’ll see changes soon both on Yahoo and Tumblr. The blogging platform will still be fully controlled by the Tumblr team but expect to see Yahoo ads on Tumblr blogs. On the other hand, Tumblr posts will be seen on one’s Yahoo homepage newsfeed.
