Clean your dirt is like playing with your cell phone

July 28, 2007

In a world that romanticizes technology so much, it’s nothing but obvious that the couch potato syndrome is bound to keep growing. Hell bent on robbing you off every physical activity your body ever enjoyed, here comes yet another invention to help you control the dirt and germs around. Yeah, you can be their God (well, not literally). What I’m talking (or better yet, warning about) is the robotic cleaner that SKT is to develop that, well, can be controlled with your mobile phone. Well, I know robotics has stopped surprising us now, Read more

Beaucoup plus longue que les batteries utilisées

July 26, 2007

Online-Werbung: Yahoo kauft Right Media

July 26, 2007

So will Right Media gezielte Werbung für eng umrissene Gruppen ermöglichen, wie sogenannte soziale Netzwerke. Yahoos größter Rivale im Internet-Werbemarkt, Google, hatte seine Position im Online-Anzeigenmarkt erst kürzlich durch den Kauf des Werbeunternehmens Doubleclick gefestigt. Google zahlte damals 3,6 Milliarden Dollar.

FujiFilm’s 7.2 mega pixel FinePix Z10fd: The teenager’s venture into great photography

July 26, 2007

Fruity colors seem to be the hottest thing this season, whether its USB keys, the ever shortening skirts, mobile phones, or well better still, digital cameras. What I’m talking about IS FujiFilm’s trendy tot-cam. Apart from being available in 7 attractive colors for the stylish youngsters, this one also packs in face recognition, auto-red eye correction, a dual-shot mode, xD/SD/SDHC support, and an over-inflated “blog mode” which quickly resizes any image into VGA or QVGA sizes. As if that’s not enough, it also arms kids with the ability to share their snaps with any IrSimple capable infrared device. Cool init? I mean the plethora of options kids have these days, I wonder how I grew up without enjoying all these. Due to launch in September, this one clicks in some 7.2 megapixel capacity. Pretty neat, I think. Kids don’t need to worry about having a camera which whoozes water when clicked. They can seem completely in tune with technology with this made to order camera.

Your plant just decided to send you on a guilt trip

July 26, 2007

As if you’ve not already got enough guilt in your fast-track life, whether its missing the birthday of your best friend or boyfriend, forgetting to wish your parents on their anniversary or forgetting to take your grumpy lil tail-wagging buddy for an evening walk, what some students at NYU have developed might have you understand the value of owning a plant. For all of us, who believe in housing exotic gardens and plants but are always on a guilt trip when it comes to watering them, guess what? The plants can now take care of themselves. Well, not literally. But then can just make a phone call to you to remind you to water them, and what’s better is that unlike your uncurt neighbors, they will actually call in to thank you once you’ve done that. Wait, don’t run to the nearest botanical garden just yet, coz it’s going to be at least six months before it is commercially available. Moreover, if you’ve got a whole garden of plants and you forget to water all of them everyday, chances are you’re going to throw your cell phone right out of the window in frustration.

Ultra thin NEC N704i: Hiding a phone between book pages

July 24, 2007

Now NEC sure seems to be at its best, raking prototypes and cell phones after cell phones. So whether it’s about bringing out a mobile that helps you load sassy videos to your blog, or bringing up the world’s slimmest mobile phone, NEC is game for everything. Well, what you see up there is not a Moto Razr’s dorky version (well, it’s not really that bad-looking), but rather, the world’s slimmest 3G mobile phone, the N704i. The cool thing is that the phone is just 11.4-mm thick and weighs only 90 gms. It’s almost as good as not carrying anything, yet being connected to the whole wide world. Well, you got to be careful though. You wouldn’t feel a thing if someone stole it right out of your pocket. Although detailed specs and prices are not available at present, the phone is sparingly available in the market since the 20th of this month. So make sure you check with your nearest store while you cross it the next time. Who knows, what you get, might actually be worth the bargain.

Party Animal ‘Tanklimo’: Celebration-Tank for Hire

July 24, 2007

Well for those people who like to crush their opponents with no contest… or that guy trying to be a tough guy in the Hummer H3, this might be a joke of the commercial industry targeted at the people who like the push the envelope or I should say this heavy, sluggish monstrosity. Nothing would say f*** thy neighbors as good as crushing their Hummer with this Tank or I should call it, the great white. To tame this beast, it takes three crew members and will house six neighbors and the all mighty couple for a Sunday afternoon drive back from the luncheon. Make sure you are a good conversationalist as this thing might take a little longer than just normal time to get you home. Read more

Shoo Fly: Use the music to shoo em mosquitoes away

July 24, 2007

I never heard about a mosquito lovers club, neither have I heard of a mosquito repellent spray or cream with designer cologne. So let’s change the topic on tropical creams and sprays, now its time to change to a radio station, or I should say frequency for troubling unwanted guests who share the bed with us sometimes. Well this James Bond gadget keeps them away without you knowing about it. The mosquito does not like the noise of it, and guess what, you wont even hear it. It works on a frequency from 4 KHz to 12 KHz, and if I check the audible frequency of a human, I can hear anything from 20Hz to 20 KHz, (hey why not inspect the product the manufacturer claims it to be). NEC: High quality video for your blogs and networks

July 24, 2007

Of course we all love to yap and yap, whether it’s the phone, whether it’s Myspace or Facebook, or whether it’s about reviewing something somewhere. Then of course, we have the fundamental instinct to share and show people all that we experience or encounter. For one, I do. Whether it’s about being on every networking site, or having albums after albums on my email accounts, I just have to share, and yes what better way to do that than being able to transfer good quality video through my cell phone.
