“Buy It Now”: eBay settles dispute over Instant-buy-patent
Online auction and e-commerce pioneer eBay said that taht the San Jose, Calif.-based company has reached a settlement agreement that gives eBay the rights to the “Buy It Now” patent. The controversy over this patent sparked a precedent-setting Supreme Court case and even spurred a call for patent reform.
