PC World reviewed for the first time the latest LG Voyager from Verizon Wireless which looks like an attempt to be an iPhone killer. To summarize this review:
The Good: Compact and stylish LG Voyager from Verizon is a brilliant touchscreen phone. Flips open sideways to reveal a first-rate QWERTY keyboard. Includes built-in GPS and VZ Navigation. Voice calls are excellent.
The Bad: Fingertip scrolling is disappointing. Touchscreen and keyboards modes don’t play together at times. Doesn’t use Windows Mobile or Blackberry so there won’t have many apps available. Poor battery life at only 5 hours. Has 3G but no Wi-Fi connectity.2MP camera could have done better with a flash.
The Bottomline: This can be an alternative to the iPhone only if you can’t afford it. However, the LG Voyager can perform well and can be considered as one of the best multimedia phones by LG so far.
