Audi is currently working with Apple to add iPhone to cars. Apple iPod’s integration with the car is already made possible by Bluetooth technology but the car-maker wishes to expand signal strength.
The technology being developed by both Apple and Audi will allow easy-transfer of phone contacts from the iPhone to the car. Right now, Audi also supports iPod functionality and is hoping they could do the same for the infamous Apple phone.
The Audi iPod system is currently available for the Audi A5, A6, A8, and Q7. It will come with a connector for the iPhone. For now, only German Audi owners can sync their iPhones with their Audis. Audi drivers in the US are unlucky in this aspect since the system won’t be available in the States.
