Sure, programmable robots have always had an exciting market awaiting them, thanks to all their funky and wonderful creations, but enter Disney, and we all know that it’s going to be like never before right? The company’s quintessential goofish but vibrant products have always extended it’s signature-style across all product categories it’s ventured into till date.
So here’s what they intend to step into next. Disney recently announced that it plans to enter the programmable robots market and would take the initial appearances in it at the Maker Faire, a geek fest at the San Mateo Fairgrounds in San Mateo, Calif., this weekend. The sure to gain partners in this venture include Disney’s Pixar animated film division, Thinkway Toys and WowWee.
So if you thought that robotics was creative but still a lil boring when it comes to breaking free from contemporary ideas and designs, think again. We know for sure that all the flying, kicking, dancing, and playing robots that Disney will create will definitely be something cute.
This comes in line with a new Pixar movie hitting theatres this summer. So thanks to it, robotics will never be the same again.
