Some people at the Technical University of Delft are working on a dragonfly robot. They call it the DelFly Micro. The mini robot is almost done and now, they just added a very small camera and developed a software that knows image recognition for the dragonfly-bot.

With the newly developed software, the dragonfly-bot will be able to recognize objects and hopefully humans in the future. Such will be helpful in locating individuals in disaster or calamity areas.

At present, the Delfly Micro has a 4-inch Wingspan but the developers are also planning to make a smaller dragonfly robot with wingspan of only two inches.
