Next gen mobile networks: Korean to get 5G ahead in 2012?

I have yet to enjoy 3G with the introduction of the 3G iPhone. I’m not getting one but since Steve Jobs announced this addition to the famous Apple phone, I was intrigued. But while the rest of the world is all excited for the 3G coming to a phone, Korea is getting ready for 5G. What? No 4G?

A leader in Broadband internet since the start of the commercial web ten years ago, Korea’s visions is now to be the leader in wireless technology by the year 2012, thus, the plan to include 5G technology. The 4G technology will not be surpassed, but the Asian country is presently working on it. Currently in 2nd place in the wireless industry, Korea plans to export $29 billion worth of phones or 250 million units with the 60 billion won ($58,449,293 US) investment.
