So I’ve missed checking out solar gadgets but looks like I’m gonna have my solar fix soon with this Solar Powered Necktie. Okay, I don’t have plans of donning one but the idea is just smart and useful.
Solar bags can be bulky and most of the time, look too geeky but a Solar Powered Tie is a more discreet way of storing energy to power your mobile phone.
The Solar Powered Necktie is a project of Iowa State University’s researchers. Apparently, they used solar cells and then attached them using a “liquid stitch” method according to LoopyGadgets.
No report if this eco tie will be go mainstream anytime soon.
