The Zephyr is a solar plane that was actually successful to fly for a longer period of time. This project by a group of British scientists was said to be in the air for almost four days, according to a feature by Unplugged Living.
Actually, the solar plane is a spy plane aimed at helping the military in their future endeavors. If the solar power issue is not enough to convince you that the Zephyr is THE plane of all solar planes, well, perhaps the fact that it doesn’t need any fuel or a pilot to drive will make you believe.
So hey Mr. Sun, looks like you’re beginning to have lots of new solar friends lately, huh?
