Officially Official: New iPod Nano now available in 9 yummy colors

New Apple iPod NanoIt’s official: a new generation of iPod Nano is out. So the rumors are true and Digg founder Kevin Rose’s announcement can now be considered as accurate.

I was actually up and about waiting for the news. I was following a number of live blogs about the event and I couldn’t just stop getting all giddy and excited. The iPod Nano is especially memorable because of the yummy colors included in the line up.

The pictures we’ve seen before of the iPod Nano are true. The curved yet slim and sleek design is in aluminum that is available in nine different colors.(Personally, I like the yellow one).

The new iPod Nano also comes with Genius, that really genius feature of the iTunes 8 that creates playlists by ‘finding songs in your library that go great together’ according to Apple.

New iPod Nano is available in 8GB and 16GB for only $149 and $199 respectively.

Here are some more specs of the curved Apple iPod Nano:

  • 2-inch LCD with LED backlight
  • flash drive
  • skip-free playback
  • 320 by 240 pixels at 204 ppi display
