Seagate and Acer just announced that the Travelmate laptops will soon ship with 2.5-inch Seagate Momentus 5400.6 hard drives. Meaning, the the laptops could have up to 500GB of hard drive with a 87MB/s transfer rate.
The drives are also equipped with SoftSonic fluid-dynamic bearing motors, making them run quietly. No word yet whether the upgrade will add to the current price tag.
