AMD will be participating in the CES 2009 at Las Vegas in January. This, according to a recent press release by the firm. AMD will be having different sessions at the Consumer Electronics techshow starting on January 8, 2009.
Sessions include the AMD Industry Insider Session and AMD at CenterStage but the company will be joining a few more like the Third Annual “It Won’t Stay In Vegas” Blogger Party and CES Unveiled.
A number of other techfirms cancaled their CES activites for 2009, including: computer hardware and accessories maker Belkin, Seagate, Logitech, Cisco, Sanyo, Philips and Yahoo. All six companies have abandoned plans to exhibit on the Consumer Electronics Show floor. Like Belkin, they are all opting for the more intimate and inexpensive floorspace of a Vegas hotel room.
