LG this week announced their new sunlight illuminated LCD that can be used outdoors. The 14.1-inch LCD is said to reduce about 75% of power when used outside the house or the office.
This new LCD panel will be launched officially at the CES in Vegas next month, showing LG’s very own “Backlight Data Signal Switching Technology”.
LG’s new display technology features “the use of selective reflection plates in existing backlight panels that enables the switch from reflective mode in a high luminance setting (sunlight) to transmissive mode in a low luminance setting (indoors and at night)”.
