Just when we thought that gadget spending is slowing down because of the recession, Amazon.com folks are happy with how their holiday sales turned out. You see, Amazon made a killing selling netbooks.
We’ve heard of laptops and desktop PC sales going down but the netbooks are a different story. Thanks to their affordability that more and more people are finding their way to owning one as an alternative to big, bulky, and expensive computer systems. Recent studies noted that netbooks are among the 25 top-selling notebook computers, 17 of them are netbooks or are in the sub $500 category.
