While Apple has surprisingly triumphed with their iPod sales, Microsoft is having a hard time selling their Zune. It may probably be accounted to the previous New Year’s situation when millions of Zunes froze due to a software glitch.
The last quarter of 2008 saw a decline in revenue by 54%. That $100 million revenue decline, according to Microsoft, is said to ‘reflect a decrease in device sales’. This news exactly isn’t shocking because of the recession. Gadget sales are going down..well, except of course the Apple iPod with their 3% growth. Microsoft must do something to save their Zune lineup or else it’ll soon be buried into oblivion.
