After the Lumix DMC-FX580, Panasonic also introduced the Lumix DMC-FT1. Unlike the FX580, this digital camera is ready for more rugged use as it is shockproof, dustproof, and waterproof.
Features of the tough Lumix point-and-shoot camera include the following:

- creative modes12.1mpx and records videos in full 1080p
- up to 6400 ISO
- maximum shutter speed of 1/1300
- 2.7-inch LCD
Panasonic DMC-FT1 will also be available for $400 this April.
