Samsung is said to be releasing new touchscreen phones this Spring in Europe. Officially called as the S5230 and the S5600, both mobile phones will feature the new TouchWiz interface.
Both phones will also come with up to 8GB of storage from MicroSD and built-in memories. Basic features of the phone include video playback, three megapixel camera, smile recognition technology, Shazam support for music player, quadband, and Bluetooth connectivity.
The S5230 features a 3-inch display screen with 240 x 400 resolution while the S5600 is smaller at 2.8-inch and 240 x 320 resolution. The latter also supports HSDPA.
Both Samsung phones are also equipped with the “Gesture Lock”, a new feature on Samsung mobile devices that allows the user to wake the phone ‘go directly to a menu or other item depending on the gesture you draw’ according to SlashGear.
