Honda Clarity FCX named as Green World Car of the Year

Honda FCX Clarity by you.The Honda Clarity FCX was recently named as the Green World Car of the Year. Honestly, this is the first time I’ve seen the car from Honda but I immediately fell in love with it. Why, the look is just classy, reminding me the latest Honda Civic I’ve been dying to buy. (Not that I have the money.)

The green car from Honda was chosen among 22 other designed vehicles. There were 59 World Car Jurors from 25 countries who scrutinized the vehicles that could be worthy to be called as the ‘greenest’ car.

Here’s a word from the board members:

“The FCX clarity is an utterly real, hydrogen-fuelled luxury sedan that provides the amenities people expect in a premium car with 430 km range, fuel consumption of about 72 mpg US (3.3 liters/100 km) equivalent and zero tailpipe emissions. While there is only so much the automotive industry can do when it comes to this technology – governments need to come onboard to help create a true refueling infrastructure.”

At present, the car is available in Southern California. Pricing is set at $600 per month on a limited edition. Why in Southern California only? Well, the area only has the hydrogen infrastructure that could handle the FCX Clarity from Honda.
