KDDI au Japanese mobile carrier recently announced a new cellphone that could perhaps make ‘green freaks’ very happy. The solar-powered mobile phone still has no official name but I think KDDI au is just thinking of a more appropriate model name.
The phone is waterproof and it comes with a very tiny solar panel. A little bit of kiss from the sunshine, about 10 minutes, can power a one minute call or power the phone to standby for two hours.
Phone will be officially available this June in Japan with a conventional battery included.
