Washington University in St. Louis’ researchers recently came up with a mobile medical imager that can work on mobile phones that run Windows Mobile. Of course, this is still under development and since this is a first, will definitely have limitations.
Most smartphones can be used with the device. It was a result of a project granted by Microsoft. It is meant to be used in most developing countries where medical equipment can be very expensive.
