Dell seems to have identified a new audience that it feels needs help getting gathered about technology; Women! Oh yes, Dell now has a website called Della, exclusively for women, offering them tips on the latest technology, new products and services, and even artists for customised tech. Now to be honest, what on earth was Dell thinking? Why don’t they make just a general audience website instead? I know tonnes of men out there who don’t understand ABC of computers (I just bumped into one today who didn’t know what MS Word is). So, how about taking a hit at men too? Just because Dell is a company full of MCP’s doesn’t mean they can come out with anything, just attaching rosy and pink to it!
If Dell though women were all about pink and Barbie, then the company really needs to get its act together, and start living with the times. Maybe that’s why they are such losers as a company anyway, with not a very cool range of products or services to talk about! They’re lost in an age and time they don’t know how to live out. All those hillbillies from Texas, get your act together and get something smart going instead of cheesy sexist websites, what say?
