Sony Ericsson needs an Android Phone, and hopefully they know it

While Sony Ericsson’s finance team is busy scratching their heads trying to figure out how to sustain itself in a rockshell of an economy, looks like they are going to soon find out, they need more than just money to stay afloat. They need ideas, and they possibly need an Android.

A small ray of hope floated through the speech that SE’s Vice President of Marketing Peter Ang, where he was quoted as saying that SE’s first android-phone might find its way on Android 2.0.

Feasibly through, is this really possible? Well, let’s hope so, but from the looks of it, we’re going to have to wait untill forever before SE makes a smart move like that.

Other than news on the Sony Ericsson Android smartphone, Ang also confirmed that the company will continue to release new smartphones based on Symbian OS and Windows Mobile.
