Sony makes their VAIO lineup more luxurious than ever

I’ve resigned to the fact that the Sony VAIO lineup is luxurious enough. But what do you know, Sony even made them more stylish with the VAIO Signature Collection. No, there are no bling and crystals involved but just some expensive crocodile leather covering the laptop.
Here’s a list of Sony’s Signature Collection laptops:
Z798Y/X notebook. Weighs 3.3 lbs with premium carbon fiber case. Limited edition of 120 units for $4,250.
Kaleidoscope Z notebook (Z790DND). Limited edition of 300 units for $2,750.
VAIO CS390. Pink faux crocodile skin, gold trim.400 units available. Price tag reads $779.
Other laptops like the SR490 Champagne Gold, P699 Glossy Black, TT290 Electric Blue, and Z790 Bordeaux Red also have a Signature Collection version.

[...] The news that we’re deep in the economic gap has not reached all departments at SONY apparently: the company is coming up with more expensive laptops in its “luxury” Vaio Signature lineup. Some are actually not that expensive like the VAIO CS390 with a “faux croco” skin ($779+), but the Kaleidoscope Z ups the ante with a price tag of $2750 and finally, the Z798Y/X is limited to 120 units and costs $4350. Frankly, they are nice, but may be not *that* nice. Anyhow, we hope that SONY will get some good deals out of that, but they should probably build less models and focus on stuff like construction quality, better materials, and longer battery life, we’re just saying… [SONY Signature, via Techfever] [...]
