A little more than a week ago, Spring was confident that Palm Pre would sell out. It sold 100,000 Palm Pre units over one weekend but looks like the new phone from Palm is not really doing good. Perhaps we could attribute this to Apple’s launch of the iPhone 3G S the following week which was obviously more popular today.
There was a report by Charter Equity Research analyst Ed Snyder that “suggests that Palm is even unable to meet demand” as noted by Techcrunch but JNK wireless consultant iGR says otherwise.
You see, the firm surveyed about 50 Sprint stores and found out that only 20 to 30 units Palm Pre are being sold each week. Those numbers are not that high as compared to the new iPhone 3G s. So obviously, Palm Pre are able to meet the very few demands.

I’ve had my Pre considering that shortly soon after launch and am glad to get (by means of this forum) that I can now set a ring tone on incoming text messages and can seek as a result of e-mails and such. Now is there any hope for an upcoming launch through which I can research my calendar? Would make my job a great deal much easier, finding dates of final appointments. No other complaints, except that yesterday I had been in and out of Sprint assistance (not unusual). I think I used to be roaming, and looked at my calendar. Everything in the calendar was 1 hour earlier than what I had input. The clock was just one hour early as properly. I was afraid to death–then, once we got back into Sprint provider again, everything was normalized. Has this happened to any person else?? Looking forward to answers, but please bear in mind, I’m no techie and speak English instead of technospeak.
