The rumors are true: the new iPod now has a video camera. Well, at least, only the iPod Nano. Actually, we didn’t see this coming. We’re too much focused on the iPod Touch gaining a camera that we forgot about Apple still has the Nano.
It’s official. The iPod Nano now shoots video. I bet owners of the first and second gen iPhones are envious of the video camera and are thinking of getting a Nano.
Nothing much has changed on the design of the Nano except for a larger 2.2″ display screen. Video camera is built-in while the casing is now set in ‘polished anodized aluminum finish’ according to Apple.
Let’s take a look at the specs:
- 8GB or 16GB flash drive storage capacity
- 24 hours of audio-listening and 5 hours of video-watching
- spoken menus
- 20Hz to 20,000Hz frequency response
- 20 VoiceOver language support
- 2.2-inch TFT display
- 240 x 376 pixel resolution
- H.264 VGA video with 15 real time special effects
- Voice Over Kit
New iPod Nano is available for $149 and $179 for the 8GB and 16GB, respectively.
