
This is no longer a rumor and no more leaked shots. The Google Nexus One was finally unveiled at a Google event yesterday. The Android smartphone is available for $529 unlocked from Google or $179 with contract from T-Mobile. Verizon will also offer this phone come Spring. As for AT&T, still no word.
Features include a spacious 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen with 800 xx 480 pixels, 100,000:1 contrast ratio, 1ms response rate, 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, 2x digital zoom lens, LED flash, HSDPA, GSM/EDGE connectivity, Bluetooth, and WiFi.
Since this is from Google, it runs Android Mobile Technology Platform 2.1 as the operating system and uses a Qualcomm QSD 8250 1 GHz processor.
Other specs include the following:
- 512MB Flash and 512MB RAM
- 4GB micro SD card
- AGPS
- digital compass
- A2DP stereo Bluetooth
