YouTube has plans of offering movie rentals this week according to a recent report by USA Today. The popular video-sharing site will start by offering films from the Sundance Film Festival with a $5 fee for each movie.
YouTube would like to help independent actors since there are only few venues for their movies to be shown. This is according to Sara Pollack, product manager of YouTube.
This seems to be good news not only for the viewers but also for the indie film directors. Finally, they have a venue that could and would feature their films.
