
The Sony PS3 is not exactly selling according to the Wall Street Journal because for every PS3 sale, Sony loses about six cents for every dollar. This is according to an analysis of their 3Q financial performance.
The $18 loss of a $299 Sony PS3 unit is actually smaller from the previous $37 loss as predicted in December. If this is the real case, then Sony must take bigger steps to make the PS3 more profitable.
