
ComScore recently reported that there was a 68 percent increase on smartphone owners who used GPS for directions from 12.5 million in 2008. About 21 million Europeans now depend on GPS in a moving vehicle and the number might just increase this year.
Cellphone GPS is expected to get bigger this year and ComScore suggests that the smartphone “might replace PNDs”. We’re still not sure about this but let’s just wait and see.
