Honestly, I haven’t tried watching a movie in 3D because I get dizzy easily. And this news from ABC News makes me not want to watch anymore. According to an article by Good Housekeeping magazine, not one sterile pair has been found among seven pairs they studied from movie theaters in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
They found out that those germs on the 3D glasses can cause sickness like staph infection, sepsis, pneumonia, conjunctivitis, food poisoning, and skin infections. Is this story surprising? Not really. It’s nothing different with dirty movie theater seats but the glasses may seem to be full with more germs and are more often touched by more people. All the while eating popcorn, hotdogs, or ice cream while inside the movie house ( yikes!).
So before you decide on watching a 3D movie, remember all them germs. Better yet, disinfect using wipes or alcohol to reduce at least 95 percent of germs.

[...] Geek that I am, I’m ashamed to say that I haven’t watched any film in 3D. Why, I’m afraid I’d get dizzy. And besides, 3D glasses are found to be very dirty. [...]
