AppleCare trained to answer politely re reception issues

apple

Seems like Apple is not focusing on fixing the antenna reception problem yet. You see, the reps of AppleCare are just being taught how to handle iPhone 4 customers’ complaints according to BGR who managed to get a copy of Apple corporate’s document.

The AppleCare cares are told to say “avoid covering the black strip in the lower-left corner of the metal band”
which is a better version of what Steve Jobs has announced a few days ago.

Also they are told that Apple “ARE NOT appeasing customers with free bumpers – DON’T promise a free bumper to customers.”

Good and polite answer but still not enough to fix the problems and handle the disappointments.
