“It’s no longer about selling phones” says Nokia. The top manufacturer is trying to explain that they are also looking into software improvements and not just the hardware as they try to rival Apple in the App market.
But then again, isn’t everything in the phone marketplace all about selling phones? Apps are just one thing. Even Apple isn’t prioritizing the apps because they’re just one feature. Ubergizmo says that for apps to work, a cool phone is needed. And that is what these phone companies should be developing and not making their app stores better. Leave that to the app developers.
Maybe Nokia should rethink about their strategy. Don’t leave the hardware part. Don’t just work on the apps either. All in all, there should be a balance.
