Such a sad news: the Microsoft Kin is dead. It’s only been six weeks since its launch but seems like the social phone isn’t going to sell as expected. Sources say that Microsoft is killing the phone and the Kin team will be transferred to the Windows Phone 7 team.
Rumor has it that only 500 units were sold so what’s the point of still releasing the phones. And the price isn’t helping at all. The price is good enough for a smartphone but the Kin clearly isn’t. Sure, there was a price cut already but obviously it didn’t help.
As for those very few who bought a Kin, Microsoft will still be offering support for them.
