Navigation units will soon be a thing of that past but a massive recall of nuvi units is sad news. Garmin is recalling about 1.25 million units of their nuvi. Why, the nuvi models 200W, 250W, 260W, and 7xx are reportedly overheating because of batteries provided by another supplier.
No reports of damages and injuries have been submitted yet but Garmin is responsible enough to make the advisory. If you own one of the models mentioned, you are advised to stop using and return it for service repair.
