The BP Oil Spill is one big problem that is very challenging to solve. But thanks to the Seaswarm robot which can eat of the Gulf oil spill. This robot group provides affordability and can communicate with WiFi and GPS.
Some people over at MIT are working on a prototype that could clean the oil in the waters. It absorbs the oil like a maxi pad with the use of a “patented hydrophobic nanofabric”. Basically, this thing eats up the oil in the water.
It can also be considered as green as it comes with solar panels to store energy from the sun, making it perfect for long and rough use.
