Rumor has it that Sony has the Alpha A55 to unveil. Dchrome forums say that this new DSLR features the following high specs:

• 16.7 megapixel APS CMOS sensor
• 1080 / 60i video
• 10fps continuous shooting
• 100 to 25,600 ISO range
• dual memory card slots
• translucent mirror
• 15-point AF

The Sony Alpha A55 is expected to arrive within a $900 to $1,000 price range. By August 24, we could see this launched— or not.
