Panasonic Announces Pricing for 2011 Lumix Camera Range

All featuring Leica lenses, HD video recording and its own iA technology, LUMIX DMC-ZS10, LUMIX DMC-ZS8, LUMIX DMC-TS3 and LUMIX DMC-FX78 today each got their own price tags and will be available in late-March 2011.

The Lumix ZS10, which has a 24mm ultra wide angle, 16x optical zoom LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR lens, full-High Definition 1920×1080 video recording capability and a newly-adopted large 3.0-inch, 460,000-dot Smart Touch Intelligent LCD wil retail at $399.99. The LCD allows Touch Zoom, Touch AF, Touch Shutter and Touch playback. Available in black, red, blue, silver and brown models, this shooter also features a built-in GPS functionality allowing geotagging capability.

The LUMIX DMC-ZS8, which will sell at $299.99 also has versatile 24mm ultra-wide angle and powerful 16x optical zoom LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR lens and includes a large 3-inch LCD and a manual exposure mode and will be available in black and silver models.

The Pansonic Lumix DMC-TS3

Made for active users, the Lumix DMC-TS3 captures 12.1 MP photos, 1080 full HD videos and complimenting its rugged and trekker-friendly design is a built-in GPS antenna, compass, altimeter and barometer. Compared to its predecessor the TS2, the TS3 this time is now waterproof to an approximate of 40 feet depth, shockproof to 6.6 feet, freezeproof to 14 F and is also dustproof. This tough camera comes in red, orange, silver and blue and will sell at an SRP of $399.99.

The Lumix FX78 at $349.99 features a new Smart Touch operation on a large 3.5 inch 16:9 aspect ratio LCD allowing touch operation. It also incorporates a new LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMARIT, 24mm ultra-wide angle lens, offering approximately 213% viewing space compared to a 35mm camera.
