A lot of people may be happy with the introduction of the Amazon Cloud Player but apparently, major labels like Sony Music are not happy with the new service. The locker service, according to Sony Music, is unlicensed. The record label is not too happy that their songs are being streamed from a cloud storage.
Streaming music service is not new but Amazon is said to have not the proper licensing agreement yet. This story reminds me a lot about the recent Time Warner Cable and Fox issue. This only proves that not because you paid for a digital content or service, you have every right to do what you want with it.
For now, Amazon could be preparing for their defense or next step. Let’s wait and see.
