The latest version of Skype for the Android platforms has enabled 3G voice calling in the US addressing the complaints of users about this IM/Voip software. The 3G calling has been enjoyed by Android users outside the US but only now that Skype’s Version 188.8.131.523 has 3G calling enabled.
A security fix is also in the new version but Skype does not say anything about the fix. Slashgear assumes it’s a fix to users’ complaints on Skype sharing personal information without users realizing it. To run the application on a Samsung Galaxy S, it needs to be updated to Android version 2.2. The Skype app for Android is free to download in the Android Market.
