
It’s made in China but the Apple iPad 2 was only officially released in the country last Friday. And as expected, the latest Apple tablet was sold out. We only thought stocks would be gone by end of the week but it took only four hours for our Chinese brethren to buy all the iPads. The information was according to MIC Gadgets.
Customers came in hundreds and scalpers also took advantage of the launch so the Chinese security personnel was very alert.Scalpers were forbidden but some of them managed to sell iPad 2 units with a 200 to 400 yuan or $30-60 markup.
Meanwhile, stocks of iPad 2 were sold out in Hong Kong, Singapore, and South Korea in less than one week.
