With so much of interest and hype surrounding the IFA and the sales and showcasing platform that is expected fr0m it, bookings for space have gone so overboard, that some exhibitors are going to have to display their stuff in tents to catch our attention. Yes, with over 140,000 bookings for space at the IFA, the bookings have far outstripped the actual booth space available at the event. The magnetic pull and theĀ the expected attendance at the IFA is making manufacturers go ballistic with interest in being part of the grand event.
‘We’ve already outstripped our capacity in space terms,’ said Christian Goeke, chief executive of the fairgrounds. ‘If demand keeps growing in future, we’re going to have to be creative in providing space.’
Therefore big tents, and other extravagant structures are being erected so that the event can accomodate last minute bookings and exhibitors. I am sure though that extra space comes with a pretty big extra price, but for those who know the records IFA can break for their sales, the price is nothing to worry about.
