DuPont’s AMOLED HDTV technology finally licensed

DuPont will soon release their AMOLED HDTVs now that they’ve partnered with an unnamed Asian manufacturer. It’s been five years since DuPont wanted to bring their HDTVs but it took them this long to find a partner.

The manufacturer (which others say could be Samsung) is believed to have licensed DuPont’s HDTV technology. Not much details have been given yet but we’re hoping CES will be its launching pad. These HDTVs are also expected to be better than LCDs in terms of power efficiency, viewing angle, response speed, color, and contrast as described.
