By now, attendees of CES have seen Sony Ericsson’s latest offering: the Xperia ion, Xperia S, Xperia acro HD, and the Xperia NX.
CEO for Sony Ericsson Bert Nordberg shared that “the Xperia portfolio will deliver a mobile experience that is an important cornerstone of Sony’s strategy to provide seamless connectivity and networked entertainment across smartphones, TV, laptops and tablets“. I am almost convince until he mentioned something about being ‘networked’. I’m sorry but Sony’s numerous issues last year are making me doubt this claim. But then there is still hope for every company to redeem itself. I’m looking forward to a better and bigger, problem-free Sony this 2012.
For now, here is a rundown of the four new smartphones by Sony Ericsson:
Xperia Ion. Sony’s first ever LTE Xperia which will arrive in the US via AT&T. Availability: 2nd Q of 2012
Xperia S. The Xperia NXT series smartphone makes use of Sony HD for stunning viewing experiences. Availability: 1st Q of 2012
Xperia acro HD. This new phone includes an infrared port data exchange, mobile wallet, and mobile TV among others. Availability: This spring in Japan.
Xperia NX. A variant of the Xperia S for the Japanese market. Availability: This spring in Japan.
