Onkyo A/V Receiver Gets High-end Features for Less

Home theatre often corresponds to a lot of expensive hardware, from a high-end projector setup up to those swanky A/V receivers that would blow the socks off your feet and a few thousand bucks to your credit card bill. But here comes Onkyo’s latest TX-NR616 A/V receiver at only $699, with the following high-end features:    -THX Select2 Plus certification guarantees adequate audio power for movie playback in medium-sized rooms
-4K video-upscaling powered by an onboard Marvell Qdeo processor
-Internet radio and DLNA support via Ethernet or an optional Wi-Fi dongle
-iOS device compatibility through a front USB port
-Eight HDMI inputs and two HDMI outputs

Not yet impressed? How about a picture-in-picture of available A/V sources from external devices? Or a Mobile High-definition Link to play back HD videos and multi-channel surround sound from smartphones and tablets? Well if $699 is too steep a pricetag for an A/V receiver for you, Onkyo also has a $599 TX-NR515 if you don’t mind the lack of THX or a $400 TX-NR414 if that Mobile High-definition thing doesn’t sound that impressive to you.
