
Google Maps can be very helpful if you’re planning on a trip to see that Craigslist apartment listing in the depths of the ‘hoods but what’s been missing is real-time traffic data. Great thing the big G has quietly returned real time traffic estimates as a feature, so the next time you hit the road, you can estimate your travel time and come up with more tangible excuses like bridge construction two blocks to your destination is a 30-minute detour to your punctual dreams. The feature may not have been widely rolled out at the moment but Google promises to expand it over time. via
