Facial recognition web app Face.com announced recently a new feature in its API – age detection. Just enter a URL of an image to the URL box and it analyzes the face returning with these values: minimum age, maximum age, and estimated age. And the creepy part is, it could tell if you are happy or not. After the novelty of the API fades, we could think of a whole lot of practical applications for this technology in the future – in security and even to weed out all those nasty content you don’t want your kids to see online. Head on over to Face.com to try this yourself
