Samsung recently introduced what’s believed to be the thinnest optical drive in the world today. Since this is the year of the ultrabooks, it’s only right that companies work on making computer components thinner as ever.
The Samsung SE-218BB external DVD writer is especially made for laptops and tablets. It can work on Linux, Mac, and PC, as well as, Android tablets (sorry, no iOS). It only needs a USB port and Android 3.1 Honeycomb running as minimum so I guess it could work with Android phones too.
Samsung SE-218BB will be available soon with a $60 price tag.
