Amazon is offering a new service in Japan. A prepaid wireless service via a SIM card will be offered to our Japanese brothers before summer kicks of in the country.
The prepaid SIM card will include 500MB of data for the price of $25 or 1,980 yen. NTT Docomo will be carrying the service thru its 4G LTE network. It’s a cheaper alternative to current smartphone plans in Japan which cost anything between $60 to $75.
The Amazon SIM card will work with other handsets aside from NTT Docomo’s offerings so this might work with the iPhone as well.
