We knew this is going to happen: Android now captures 51% of the market as the Top Smartphone Platform this March 2012.
This is good news for Google and Samsung because of the latter’s numerous gadget offerings. According to comScore, Android increased by four percent. Apple still follows with 31 percent, selling about 35.1 million iPhones.
In the US, 106 millions Americans owned a smartphone. Samsung is still doing well with sales, thanks to the numerous phones and tablets sold. Apple also sold a lot of devices. Meanwhile, LG, HTC, and Motorola are losing market share.
